I20 is a government form issued by a university which certifies the US Govt. that you are eligible for the issuance of a student visa or change of status (F, J and M non-immigrant statuses).

I20 certifies the following:

  1. Are going to be enrolled as a Full Time Student pursuing a Bachelor’s or Master’s Degree.
  2. Have satisfied all admissions requirements and been accepted to the university and
  3. Have proven that you have sufficient financial support to study and live in US for the duration of your course of study.
  4. For OPT : Have completed the requirement to be eligible for OPT and your Master’s degree is eligible for OPT.
